Terms of use
Last updated October 1, 2026
InspectKeeper is run by Alex Kay, an individual established in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. By using inspectkeeper.com, an account or a tag you agree to these terms. Contact: [email protected]. How we handle data is in the privacy policy.
The service
InspectKeeper keeps records: QR tags for your safety equipment, checks logged from a phone, reminders, problem alerts and printable logs. It is free while in early access, with no card required. If paid plans come, we will announce them on the site and email account holders before anything you use starts to cost money.
What it is not
InspectKeeper is not an inspection, maintenance or fire protection service, and it does not replace one. The checklists and guides are plain-language summaries of standards such as NFPA 10, NFPA 17A, NFPA 80, NFPA 101, OSHA rules and ANSI Z358.1, not the standards themselves. Whether your equipment, your inspections and your records meet the requirements that apply to you is your responsibility; the authority having jurisdiction (your fire marshal or inspector) and the standard have the final word.
Your account and your tags
- Keep your sign-in links to yourself; what is done with them is done by you.
- You decide who is on your team and who can log checks at your tags. What they enter is part of your records, and you are responsible for it.
- Enter only information you are allowed to share with us, and tell the people who log checks that their name is recorded.
Fair use
- Do not use InspectKeeper to send spam, store unlawful or infringing material, or attack, overload or probe the service.
- Do not get around its limits, for example with many accounts.
We can limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and will say why unless the law or the abuse itself stops us.
Your data
Your records are yours. You can download each building's log as a PDF at any time, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
Availability and liability
We work to keep InspectKeeper running and your records safe, but it is provided as is, without guarantees of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep the PDF logs you may need. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as fines, failed inspections, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using InspectKeeper at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end the service with 30 days' notice to account holders by email, so there is time to download your logs.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Account holders get an email before a change that affects them takes effect.
