What OSHA and ANSI say
OSHA 1910.151(b) requires adequate first aid supplies to be readily available in the workplace. OSHA points to ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 as an example of the minimum contents of a workplace kit. The standard defines two classes: Class A for common workplace injuries, and Class B with more supplies for busier or higher-risk sites.
How often to check
Monthly is the common routine, and after any time the kit was used. Busy kitchens, workshops and gyms often check weekly. What matters is that someone owns the check and it leaves a record.

- Adhesive bandages and gloves, the first things to run out.
- Antiseptic wipes, burn gel and eye wash, which expire.
